James Baskins Sr. Sworn says -- I was walking mule along road cars passing rapidly going home toward Chesterfield. Truck was coming this way -- wife said drive on the shoulder I'm afraid some car will hit us. I said No . . . got my light and I am on my side she said I don't seem safe. . . . after a while truck come down road about full speed. I said will I satisfied I've got my side truck was coming was on right hand side -- Truck met me and was on same side I was on which was on his left side Meeting me close to me some one yelled and said he going to run into us. I said he was I reined my mule to the right and then he hit my left front wheel. Next thing I knew my mules were pulling me off the road the other were down at there wagon. One man was killed but I didn't see thing. . . . Since then I found out he was Mr. Tillie he told me then that he was driving the truck. He was stand quietly. I didn't smell anything intoxicating on him he had lights on his car.
