Emmanuel Gillespie Sworn Says When he came up the Road this morning 1st May 1870 He saw the body of Mr Roland lying on the side of the Rail Road out side the rack with his head resting out side the track resting on the [fl??ge] of [???] he was not dead did not speak to me. . .
W. D. Williamson Sworn Says. . . I do not know whether he was Drunk yesterday or not but have seen him drunk. . . seen him often drunk. He was lying besid the track of of Rail Road and not on it. He thinks it would have been possible for the Engineer to have saw him on the track if his his head had been on the cross tie.
