C. T. Hutchinson Sworn I am chief of police from Cheraw, S.C. . . . the chain gang of county was at work on River Hill loading from Blecraw to the Strove Bridge across the Pee Dee River they were digging under the side of the Hill where the Bank caved in burying Earl Rivers . . . I could not see any danger before the cave in, no body was to blame
Jonas Daris sworn says I am a prison in the chin gang. . . we were at work on the River Hill digging on the side of the Hill when suddenly the Hill caved in burying Earl Rivers killing him instantly, no body was to blame as far as I could see
