Susie Knotts being sworn says, I got up this morning before day. I slept with Sabia Covington last night. She is my mother. She was alive when I got up this morning I went to Mr Ratcliffs and about 9 o'clock Richard Covington came after me and said he could not wake mother up, when I came home we found he dead.
Dr. D Thompson Teal being sworn says, I have examined the body of Sabia Covington her lying dead and heard the testimonies of witness, and fro that examination and the testimonies of the witnesses my opinion is death was caused by Heart failure, reasonable causes age & rheumatism. I saw no marks of violence, or any evidence of poison.
