Transcription: 

Thomas Birens sworn says I was Going across the Trestle this morning. Edmond Long hollered to to come back & help him. . . Went back started to help him up. When he said let him lie as he was hurt bad. Told us to turn him over = wanted water and we got water for him. He told us he fell off the trestle. Fell of last night. Asked us to let his folks know that he was hurt I went to do this and did not see him again until just before he didd.
