They then examined her back and found a good many bruises from her neck down and found some on her thighs; those were all the marks which they could discover on her. Her Stomach seemed puffed up rather unnaturally they turned her over and a good deal of water ran out of her mouth there was a little blood oozeing through the skin in several places, the balance seemed to be more [?] the bruises were worse across the back below the shoulder blades. Discovered no bruises on the head, the bruises seem to have been made with some flat instrument, and all seem to have been made by the same instrument. The bruises did not seem very deep witness does not think from the appearances that the wounds were calculated of themselves to have produced the Sudden death that followed.
