witness say Decd Came to his house on yesterday Decd[?] asked[?] for Bishop to hire him witness said to Decsd that he did not want to hire him the Decsd then asked witness to take him to the Vilage & Deliver him up to the Sheriff & Let him sell him or hang him for he was ruined for there was thousands would be on him & they would shoot & cut him all to peaces witness said to Decsd to go off & stay until morning & then he would go with him to Unionville witness then went to his Plowing [?] Decsd [?] to go & wait until morning witness says after he got to work he saw Decsd Comeig to the Field in a fast walk witness says Decsd made an attempt to Cut his own throat a time or two he witness ordered him to put up his Knifre & he done so witness then Requested him to go off again & wait until morning & he would go with him to town Decsd Hasted off witness saw Decsd Comeing towards the house in a hurry witness took out [?] as he Could & followed him back to the house Decsd was Sitting on the well he ordered him away he left there & then made another attempt to Cut his throat witness stoped him again witness then agreed to go with him to Unionville & Commenced to Shift[?] [??] Decsd ran to the well opened the top went down in it before witness could get there
