Seven[?] persons came and nocked[?] at the dare[?] looking [?] & armed having a man [?] Saying he had just Killed a man [??] and toled the Sherif they wanted to put him in goal Sheriff asked wit to go [?] with them went to the top[?] of the steps left John Feast[?] behind to lock the dare[?] as he locked the armed [?] soldir[?] men[?] taken [?] Keys from him and and gave them to another person wit told the Sherif that they had taken the Keys with that they drew their pistols and said if wit opened his mouth that he was a dead man the wit lcoked the dore and tied sax and carried him out
