Henry Pate sworn. Said he was going on the road about . . . mile beyond this passed him and then came back, got down & looked at the body, found that was dead as he thought. Then returned to Camden and informed J.R. McKain. He was lying on his side, with a bundle under his head. Appeared as tho he had not struggled.... Henry Pate
