[?] Sloan sworn. When I came up to them supper unlocked the door, spoke to Mrs. Crowder & asked her for the plate. Left at dinner time. She made no answer thought she was in the sulk[?] about what Mr. [?] done to her in the room. Came in and spoke to her once or twice but made no answer at all. I then put my hand on her waist and found she was dead, then called Mr. Henry Peeples to bring a light. When I got the light found she was hung. I then turned round and locked the door. H.E. Sloan
