do say upon their oaths from the testimony given respecting the situation of said Alexander McKee dec'd previous to his absenting himself from his family in a deranged or insane situation for a considerable length of time, and that on the 27th December last made his escape from his family & was found dead on the 4th Jan'y 1817. We from corroborating circumstances have come to a unanimous conclusion that from his insanity and exposition to the inclemency of the weather together with the infirmity of body was the cause of his death.
