I am the mother of the deceased Matilda Tippins. She was just one year old. I saw her last on Friday 22nd March about [???]. I left her in her cradle in the house. I was going to the factory. I left some fire in the fire place. There was a straw bed tick about 3 ft from the fire. I took my oldest child to Alfred River's. I had done that often before. I did not get back until after dark and found my house was burned down did not know it until then.
